Mexico's Power Upgrade Gains More Chinese Momentum - CNKEEYA Ring Main Units Secure Repeat Order for Key Project

Recently, with the full advancement of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) of Mexico's 2025-2030 Power System Enhancement Plan, CNKEEYA has received a large repeat order from its Mexican partner. The company will provide a batch of high-performance ring main units to support the construction of power distribution networks for local combined cycle power plants and new energy projects. This marks another in-depth cooperation between the two parties in the field of power infrastructure following the successful application of the first batch of equipment in the power grid renovation project in the Cancun tourist area last year.

It is understood that Mexico's power system upgrade plan has a total investment of 427.6 billion Mexican pesos (approximately 23.1 billion US dollars), focusing on the construction of clean energy projects such as combined cycle power plants and photovoltaic power stations, with an expected new power generation capacity of 22,674 megawatts. The ring main units won by CNKEEYA in this bid will be mainly used in the supporting power grid project of the Francisco Pérez Ríos Combined Cycle Power Plant, which has an installed capacity of 879 megawatts and is an important power support point in northern Mexico.

In response to the special environment of Mexico, such as high temperature, high humidity and salt spray corrosion in some coastal areas, the ring main units provided by CNKEEYA this time adopt a fully insulated and hermetically sealed structure design. The high-voltage live parts are cast with epoxy resin material, the operating temperature range of the equipment covers -45℃ to +45℃, and the protection level reaches IP67, which can effectively resist the impact of extreme weather such as floods and heavy rains.
