Surge Protective Device (SPD), also known as lightning arrester, is an electronic safety apparatus designed to safeguard various electronic equipment, instruments, meters and communication lines.
When external interference induces sudden peak currents or voltages in electrical circuits or communication lines, the SPD will conduct and divert surge currents within an extremely short time, preventing surges from damaging other equipment on the circuit.
This SPD is applicable to AC power supply systems with a frequency of 50/60 Hz and a rated voltage of 220 V / 380 V. It provides protection against electrical surges caused by direct and indirect lightning strikes or other transient overvoltages, and meets surge protection demands for residential buildings, the tertiary industry and industrial sectors.
