Overview

 1.1 The ZWC□-40.5Z/1600A-31.5kA Type Outdoor Enclosed Combined Electrical Apparatus is an integrated switchgear assembly with air as the external insulation medium and SF₆ gas as the arc-extinguishing medium. It is applied for the control and protection of 40.5kV three-phase AC power transmission and distribution systems, and is also suitable for use as a tie circuit breaker and in scenarios of switching capacitor banks. This product is ideal for urban substations, industrial substations and mountainous substations with land constraints. It features the following advantages:

 Circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, current transformers, voltage transformers, surge arresters, fuses, busbars and other components are organically integrated on earthed steel structural supports, boasting a compact structure.

 It occupies only 30% to 50% of the space of split-type equipment, which saves land and reduces project construction costs.

 The entire bay is factory prefabricated, with assembly and commissioning completed ex-factory and delivered to the installation site as a whole, shortening the installation period.

 High-performance arc-extinguishing chambers, voltage transformers, composite insulator surge arresters and disconnectors with full proven performance are adopted, realizing basically maintenance-free operation and high reliability.

 Factory-prefabricated self-supporting busbars are used between bays, eliminating the need for the user to construct supporting frames.

 The layout is flexible and adaptable to various wiring modes.

 The circuit breaker can be hoisted down integrally for maintenance or replacement, minimizing the power outage time caused by body faults to less than 3 hours.

 1.2 The ZWC□-40.5 is equipped with high-quality components and systems as follows:

 Self-energy arc-extinguishing chamber with a breaking capacity of 31.5kA and a total breaking time of 3 cycles; it features a simple and reliable structure and can achieve 20 times of full-capacity breaking.

 CTB all-spring operating mechanism, complying with the "oil-free" requirement for switchgear; it has excellent mechanical characteristics, a compact structure and high reliability, and has obtained national patents and been awarded as a scientific and technological product.

 All disconnectors are equipped with composite insulators and adopt a single-arm direct rotary structure with high simplicity and reliability; self-force graphite silver-plated dispersed copper contact fingers are used, featuring good structural stress performance, strong current-carrying capacity and maintenance-free operation.

 All exposed metal parts are treated with advanced anti-corrosion technology, ensuring no rust for 20 years under general polluted conditions.

 1.3 The ZWC□-40.5 complies with the national standards GB1984-2003, GB11032-89 and GB1985-2004, and meets the requirements of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards IEC56, IEC99-4, IEC129 and IEC694. All other internal components meet their respective standard requirements.

 Structure and Working Principle

 2.1 This product is designed for outdoor application. The operating environmental conditions are as follows

 a. Altitude: Not exceeding 2000m (negotiable upon ordering)

 b. Ambient temperature: -40℃ ~ +40℃

 c. Relative humidity: Daily average not more than 95%, monthly average not more than 90% (at 25℃)

 d. Wind speed: Not more than 35m/s

 e. Pollution class: Class IV, nominal creepage distance greater than 31mm/kV

 f. No flammable, explosive, chemically corrosive or severe vibration environments

 g. Seismic intensity: Not exceeding Grade 8

 h. Ice coating thickness: Not more than 10mm
