2025-06-05

A box type substation is a box shaped complete set of power distribution equipment. Its main function is to transform voltage and distribute electricity.

A box type substation consists of three parts: a high-voltage room, a transformer room, and a low voltage room. The high voltage room is responsible for inputting power and controlling high voltage circuits. There is a distribution transformer in the transformer room, which is responsible for converting high voltage electricity into low voltage electricity. The low voltage room is composed of low voltage switches, electric energy metering devices, reactive power compensation equipment, etc., which are responsible for outputting and metering low voltage electricity.

BOX TYPE Substation

Box type substations have many advantages. Its biggest advantage is that it occupies a small area. The equipment of traditional substations is concentrated in a box, which greatly reduces the floor space and reduces the land cost of enterprises. At the same time, since all the equipment is in the box, installation and maintenance are very convenient, and the box can also protect the equipment from moisture. Therefore, box type substations can be used in different places.
